So what is the 1619 project? 

I didn’t have a clue as to this agenda.  But, in my reading I discovered this isn’t merely a type of history class.  It involves more sinister teaching than just learning American history.  Apparently, the University of North Carolina wants to add the lead essayist of the New York Times “1619 Project” to its journalism faculty. 

Let’s just say that this teaching is misleading and deceptive for their students, faculty, trustees, as well as the donor whose name is attached to the journalism school. 

That’s because the 1619 project presents a false and dishonest narrative of our nation’s history—proclaiming that “Our democracy’s founding ideals were false when they were written.”

The unfortunate truth is that this is just another example of how American colleges and universities are failing to equip their students with the knowledge and character required for useful citizenship much less for a good and happy life!! 

Many distinguished colleges began with beautiful missions, founded along the same lines as many Christian based schools and private schools such as Hillsdale College.  Maybe your alma mater is one of them. But it’s a sad fact that too many of them have departed from their founding missions and are pursuing something else.  Perhaps,  by attempting to make our Republic into a more socialist system of government……….. distorting the character of our Founders themselves.  This can be seen in the “woke” philosophy, BLM movements and CRT teaching. 

Free speech is under threat on many campuses, as conservative students are afraid to speak up and conservative speakers and faculty are harassed or even assaulted. 

We must demand that our schools teach American values based on the principles found in our Constitution.  We must teach about the sacrifices of men and women who gave their lives to make our country what it is and should be again. We need to return to saying the Pledge of Allegiance with hands on our hearts. We must teach the beauty of our National Anthem.  We need to teach American History as it was……..truly expressed in lives of its people.   We must welcome those who seek to align themselves with us and are willing to become legal citizens taking on the responsibilities of serving our country….. making our country a true melting pot of diversity but also of unity. 

I hope you will join me in spreading the truth of this false and deceptive teaching narrative based on “fake” readings of those who desire to distort the beauty and values of our Republic.
