Rebels With a Cause.

Most of us are aware that the state of Virginia has a new Governor.  As I followed the various news media on the results of his victory, I noted that most of the dissension was centered upon education and defunding the police. Many parents are fed up with the President and his cronies promoting and fostering ideologies that are both against Biblical principles as well as degrading the values of our democracy. The former governor was backed by the liberal branch of the Democratic party and he lost!

 I believe America has had it and the cracks in the veneer are showing.  The expression of outrage over the teaching of Critical Race Theory (CRT) and wokeism is enough to cause the majority of parents to rebel and to show their anger by electing a conservative Governor who promises to uphold the values of traditional education….. focusing on history, study of the constitution and leaving gender and race issues aside. 

Joe Biden campaigned and promised in his first 100 days in office, he would pass the “Equality Act,” but signed an executive order on “Preventing and Combating Discrimination on the Basis of Gender Identity or Sexual Orientation” on day one of his presidency.  The Equality Act seeks to obliterate biological realities, allowing anyone to self-identify into whatever sex they wish to be and force the rest of us to just go along and be polite, lest we be called haters and transphobes,  bigots and sexists etc.   

Parents are outraged on the radical educational agendas that insert trans ideology into the curriculum.  In places such as the Loudoun County school district in Virginia, a trans-identified male student sexually assaulted two young girls. 

There is a new film by producer named Gary Powell entitled, “Trans Mission: What’s the Rush to Reassign Gender?”  Yes, what’s the rush?  Why are young children being indoctrinated with sexual identity?   Somehow, there must be a fear among the so-called elite that Americans are fed up to what is really happening to us and our children. 

 The radical activists have no problem with hate speech. Parents are now identified as domestic terrorists.  Fortunately freedom of speech is a two way street and Main Street USA is rebelling.

Many high profile people are coming to the defense of free speech.   Even trans-female Caitlyn Jenner said…”This issue should not be allowed in schools.  The LGBTQ movement is not an educational issue.  It’s about “woke’ and Cancel Culture, run amok, and trying to silence free speech. “

While perusing Facebook, there was an article posted by an official of the NEA (National Education Association) maligning parents for interfering with the school’s curriculum as well as getting involved in school affairs.  A liberal friend of mine agreed.  “Teachers should be allowed to teach with no interference from parents.”  I countered that idea.  “Parents need to become more involved with the education their children are receiving……after all, we are paying for it!!

                            We all must become rebels.  We will be Rebels with a Cause.
